In this painting, my goal was to depict a tranquil winter scene featuring a Saw Whet Owl nestled on a snow-laden spruce branch. The warm chestnut and creamy hues of the owl’s feathers contrasting with the whites and greens of the background, creating a composition that I hope draws your gaze to the owl’s piercing eyes, almost as if it’s asking, “What brings you here?”
