Tempest - Short Eared Owl 20"x16" Original Framed

We've had the opportunity to observe these owls a handful of times. On one occasion, in the east, we witnessed an owl soaring over the highway beneath a darkened sky. In my painting, I sought to capture that moment, injecting it with a sense of drama and tension through the owl's piercing downward gaze and the ominous clouds looming in the background.
