Summer's Embrace

Although the exhibition at @eccoartgallerystudios has ended, a couple of my paintings remain on display for visitors to enjoy. This Bluejay painting was influenced more by the surrounding scenery than the bird itself. The scene is drawn from my wife’s garden last spring, where an old wagon wheel serves as an occasional perch for visiting birds. The striking hues of the Black-Eyed Susans complemented the Bluejay’s vivid blues, creating what I hoped would be a harmonious composition.
