Still Blue -30"x15" -Sold-

The Blue Heron is an iconic bird of Canadian rivers and lake shores with it's head hunched back onto it's shoulders wading patiently for it's next meal to swim by. I find the features of this bird striking, with it's long beak, piercing yellow eye and the long strands of feathers that form on it's chest and back. We encountered this heron during a kayak trip on Beaver Creek near our home. It was early in the morning and the overhanging trees along the shore line created a nice dark backdrop for the heron with the morning sun shining on her blue/grey plummage.
