As many of you know, Algonquin Park is one of our favourite locations for nature and wildlife. Just south of the park on Highway #127 is a small lake called Robinson Lake that was the inspiriation behind this painting. With the rising backdrop of various evergreen and birch trees, reflections on the lake and the reeds in the foreground this scene just seemed like the perfect setting for this noble creature.
