On a recent adventure to Amherst Island we came across this little beauty. I almost felt guilty invading her little sheltered enclave, taking reference pics while at the same time respecting her space as she was resting. At approximately 7 to 8 inches tall this little owl can be found all across North America and I feel fortunate that this encounter allowed me to study her diminutive features and hopefully present them in a pleasing and balanced composition.
